Lp(a):What is it and its role in atherosclerosis
In this video, Prof. Lale Tokgozoglu of Hacettepe University, former president of the European Atherosclerosis Society, discusses the structure, function, and genetics of Lp(a) and highlights the clinical implications of elevated Lp(a) levels. Using evidence from contemporary clinical studies, Prof. Tokgozoglu shares insights into approaches for lowering Lp(a) levels. Finally, challenges in the comprehensive understanding of the physiological and clinical implications of Lp(a) are discussed.
